For those who do not know, our amazing Santiago was born with a rare genetic anomaly called bilateral anophthalmia, rendering him sightless in both eyes. We are happy to report that he appears to be healthy in all other areas beyond the context of his eyes. Although, he needed a little time in the NICU to gain his footing in this world

The story of Santiago entering this world is wild. Needless to say, we had quite a few surprises. We know it will be an adventure of a lifetime to raise him. Cesar and I are excited and scared and grateful and overwhelmed, and, and, and.
